The Quinte West Fire and Rescue department has announced its schedule for open houses at its fire stations.
In early December the fire department will host two holiday open houses to allow Quinte West residents to visit a fire station, meet firefighters and learn about fire prevention.
Alongside the open houses, they’re accepting food donations to be donated to the Trenton Food Bank.
This marks the end of the annual Santa Tour with Fire Chief John Whelan saying they’re changing courses “based on feedback from our insurance carrier and the community.”
The open houses will happen on Saturday, December 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Participating fire stations include:
- Station 1 – 49 Dixon Dr., Trenton
- Station 2 – 34 Cameron Ave., Trenton
- Station 3 – 58 Aikens Rd., Bayside
- Station 4 – 794 Vermilyea Rd. Foxboro
- Station 5 – 57 Plant St., Batawa
- Station 6 – 1074 County Rd. 5, Wooler
- Station 7 – 18 Scott Ave. Frankford
