A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday morning to mark the completion of the third and final phase of the Bell Boulevard and Sidney Street Corridor Improvements Project.
Belleville Mayor Mitch Panciuk, members of council and the project team were among those attending the ceremony at the intersection of Sidney and Tracey streets.
The project began in March 2020 with the first phase of work on Bell Boulevard and then Phase Two from Shorelines Casino to Sidney Street.
Phase Three involved work on Sidney Street from Bell Boulevard to Maple Drive including the reconstruction of the intersection at Tracey Street/Tracey Park Drive and the widening of Sidney Street between Tracey Street and Bell Boulevard.
Mayor Panciuk says the improvements along Bell Boulevard and Sidney Street leave the city well positioned for future growth.
