Members of 424 Squadron out of Trenton Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) were involved in a dramatic rescue north of Petawawa Saturday.
According to Trenton JRCC on Twitter, Search and Rescue techs were called in around 11 a.m. to assist with the rescue of a pilot after their plane crashed in the woods 40 miles north of Petawawa.
They were joined by an aircraft from the Civil Aviation Search and Rescue Association out of Ottawa and a Bell 412 Helicopter from the Sureté du Quebec.
In a video posted to the Trenton JRCC Twitter page the person can be seen getting lifted out of the forest to a CH16 Griffon helicopter.
The person was then taken to Pembroke Hospital.
There was only one person in the aircraft and they are reported to be in stable condition at Pembroke Hospital.
