We have an update on the serious incident that occurred early Monday at Belleville’s Meyers Pier.
City police say a vehicle, reported to be a truck, drove onto the pier hitting several concrete barriers before ending up in the Bay of Quinte shortly after 4 a.m.
As a consequence, a 63-year-old man was killed and a 36-year-old woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Both are from Belleville.
The vehicle was recovered from the water and is being examined.
