Quinte West Firefighters dealt with a small blaze at a local golf course this morning.
Crews responded to the Bay of Quinte Golf and Country Club at about 6:40 a.m., where flames had broken out in the upper level of the course’s clubhouse.
Fire Chief John Whelan says it took about half an hour to get things under control and there’s no word yet on a cause, though it he suspects it may have been an electrical issue.
Whelan says there was a bit of smoke damage from the fire, but nothing major and it doesn’t seem like golf course operations will be impacted today.
Crews remained on scene until 8:30.
