A Belleville man stands charged with mischief and break and enter following incidents early Sunday at a church and then a Downtown District business.
Belleville police responded around 6:30 in the morning after a window had been broken at a downtown business.
After investigation police learned the window had been broken with a cross stolen after a break-in at a church less than an hour before.
A 37-year-old man was taken into custody and appears at a bail hearing Monday.
