Belleville Police are reminding people to make sure their cars are locked at night.
Police were called to the west end of the city at approximately 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning for reports of a suspicious person walking about checking car doors.
No other information was released but police say the investigation is ongoing and ask that anyone with information call in.
Officers say to ensure that your vehicles are locked and that there are no valuables left inside overnight to prevent theft.
