The Belleville Fire Department says woman suffered minor second degree burns and was taken to hospital, after a pair of trailers went up in flames, at an RV Park in Foxboro Friday morning.
Fire Prevention Officer Dave MacMullen says the blaze happened around 7:00 a.m. at the park, east of Highway 62 and Carleton Cove Road.
The cause of the fire is being deemed accidental, due to “a lack of understanding regarding propane appliances and the use of smoking materials”, with a damage price tag of around $30,000.
With cottage season on the horizon, MacMullen is putting out a reminder for anyone using propane appliances to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for proper use and maintenance.
