Hospice Quinte received a major donation Tuesday getting it closer to their campaign goal for a new facility.
The family of Sidney and Naomi Spiegel has gifted $250,000 toward the future Hospice Quinte Care Centre.
Sidney Spiegel is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Crawford Steel.
“Our family has deep roots here in the Quinte Region,” says Benn Spiegel, son of Sidney and Naomi. “We are very proud to support the Heart & Home Building Campaign and congratulate Hospice Quinte for its dedication to providing world-class palliative care for our community.”
Hospice Quinte Executive Director Jennifer May-Anderson says the donation brings them to 80% of their $9.5 million capital campaign goal.
The almost 11,000 square foot Hospice Care Centre, which will be located across from Bayside Secondary School, will feature six private client suites to provide care to those nearing the ends of their lives.
The facility is currently under construction.
