Two Napanee area men are in prison after being sentenced on a multitude of charges last week.
Joseph Pickstock, in his mid-40s, and Robert Pickstock, in his mid-30s, were each charged with 17 counts of arson and a number of public mischief charges after a string of fires in the Napanee area and in Prince Edward County in 2017/18.
In a separate investigation Joseph Pickstock and his wife Rhonda were charged with fraud over $5,000 after an elderly man was defrauded out of a significant amount of money over four and half years.
Last week in Napanee court Joseph Pickstock pleaded guilty to four counts of arson, public mischief, fraud and many other charges. He received seven years in jail and was ordered to pay restitution of over $706,000.
Robert Pickstock pleaded guilty to four counts of public mischief and will spend one year in jail and was ordered to pay restitution of just over $3,000.
All the other charges, including those brought against Rhonda Pickstock, were withdrawn.
