A 24-year old Belleville woman is likely going to be sleeping the day away Monday, after a puzzling world record.
On Sunday night, Maxine Olive completed the 40,320 piece Ravensburger Memorable Moments puzzle. It is a 10-panel collection of famous Disney movies.
From start to finish, she worked on the puzzle for about 150 hours, and surpassed the last known record by a Massachusetts man of 423 hours.
She tells Quinte News she does not know if it has sunken in yet.
“Not sure, yes and no. I mean the impressive accomplishment of it all has definitely sunk in. The fact I beat it by so much still computing in my mind.”

It is 22 feet long, by 6 feet high and weighs about 44 pounds, and the second largest puzzle in the world. She had to move her fridge, and entire living room in her Belleville apartment, with only a few inches left .
“Sat there for the 150 some odd hours and did it. It is a mental game. It is not only the mental issue behind doing the puzzle itself, but then you also run into having the will power of having to sit there through the road blocks that you encounter.”
The work began on February 13, with 13.5 hours being her shortest day Her longest day was 34 hours this weekend, stopping for one hour to sleep Sunday afternoon.
Olive will be submitting her streaming footage to Guinness to apply for the world record, but in the meantime she says she is going to go to bed.
