The Hastings Prince Edward School Board is taking precautions as there may be a COVID-19 infection at Trenton High School.
In a letter on Friday afternoon, the school board says someone at THS is “under investigation for COVID-19”, meaning that person is considered a high-risk contact of a confirmed or probable case, and they are waiting for test results.
School officials and public health staff are contacting anyone who had close contact with that person and staff have cleaned and disinfected all areas in the school where they may have been.
The person under investigation will be able to return to the school once their case has been confirmed to be negative.
For now, the school remains open.
