The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision.
On January 24, 2021, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a head-on collision involving two vehicles at County Road 40, just north of Telephone Road, in Trenton.
The collision resulted in the death of one of the drivers, who was alone in the vehicle.
Three people in the other vehicle were transported to hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Michael Heron, 63 years old of Pickering was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for approximately 10 hours while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Collision Reconstructionists investigated the scene.
