One young man is facing serious charges after an incident in Belleville Saturday.
Belleville police were called to a residence on College Street East at approximately 8 a.m. for what police say was a disturbance involving someone getting stabbed.
Police and paramedics responded to the scene and found a man who had been stabbed in the stomach. He was transported to Belleville general hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
After further investigation, police arrested and charged an 18-year-old Belleville man with assault with a weapon.
The man was released and will appear in court on February 18.
