The Lorne Brooker Show continued coverage on the issue of filling the seat left by the late Pat Culhane.
Paul Carr was one of four councillors who wanted Tyler Allsopp, the Belleville Ward candidate who finished first runner up in the last municipal election, as that person.
The 4-4 tie in council meant that would not happen, and now council is looking at someone else.
Carr tells the show it was not about the individual, it was about the process.
“I am not getting into evaluating. That is what this advisory group, I am not even going to call it a committee, because I do not think it has any standing. Council did not even decide on this committee, the mayor decided on it, he acted on it, on his own. It was a 4-4 tie, it was a loss.”
He says he is resolute in his position.
