A new look has been approved for the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.
Communications Manager Kerry Donnell told the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board during their regular board meeting on Monday night that creating a new visual identity coincides with other strategic corporate initiatives currently underway such as the new strategic plan and the HPEDSB Quinte Secondary School Revitalization Plan.
Donnell recommended the Achievement logo for approval by the Board of Trustees.
A committee met several times over the last few months to discuss refreshing the look of HPEDSB, reinforce what it stands for and take the school board from 1998 to 2020 and beyond.
The committee started with 11 variations of new logos and was able to agree on three concepts for final consideration.
She says a plan will be developed to formally launch and roll out the new logo on the strategic plan, which was approved later during the meeting, for website, social media, letterhead, banners, presentations, marketing materials and publication, e-communications et cetera over the coming months.
The existing lighthouse/book logo was adopted in 1998 following the amalgamation of the Hastings County Board of Education and the Prince Edward County Board of Education.
