There will be an extended closure of the Bay of Quinte Skyway bridge late this month.
The county announced Friday that the bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday, November 28 to 6 a.m. Monday, November 30 to complete the concrete placement to connect the two new decks together prior to final paving.
During the 48-hour closure the bridge will be completely closed and no traffic will be allowed.
The Glenora Ferry is recommended as an alternative.
In the event of poor weather conditions, the closure will be moved to the same time frame between Saturday, December 5 and Monday, December 7.
