The employment picture in our part of Ontario continues to get better.
According to Statistics Canada the unemployment rate in the Kingston-Pembroke economic region, which the Quinte area is a part of, was 8.1% last month, down from 9.3% in September.
Meanwhile, the provincial unemployment rate was 9.6%, up slightly from 9.5% in September.
The national rate was 8.9% in October, down from 9.6% the month before.
