Quinte Conservation will be cutting off vehicle access to one of its conservation areas in Prince Edward County because of large crowds, unacceptable activities and garbage dumping.
The parking lot at Little Bluff Conservation area in Milford and the road into it, are being closed after recent reports of overcrowding, where the two-metre physical distance requirements weren’t being followed.
Quinte Conservation staff say the conservation area has long been a known spot for locals, but has become more popular recently for visitors to the area.
There have also been reports of garbage dumping, prohibited camp fires and overnight camping at the site, which features a cobblestone beach and panoramic view of Prince Edward Bay.
Anyone who wants to visit Little Bluff can still do so, but must walk in to the conservation area and parking on municipal roads that access the site is strongly discouraged.
