Belleville police have charged a Gilmour man with sexual assault after an incident at a business in the north end of the city Sunday afternoon.
Police were called and upon arrival found a suspect had been detained by customers and staff at the business.
Lauire Poulain, 44, will appear in court on September 24.
Gilmour is a hamlet located between Madoc and Bancroft.
Meanwhile, also last Sunday, police charged 40-year-old Belleville man Kier Maracle with assault causing bodily harm after an alleged incident downtown a few days earlier.
Police report the victim suffered facial injuries in an assault.
