Just about everything is set for the construction of a much needed expanded regional Intensive Care Unit at Belleville General Hospital.
Quinte Health Care Vice President Brad Harrington told QHC’s Board of Directors Tuesday that people shouldn’t be worried about patients not receiving proper care.
Construction to expand the ICU to 18 beds from 14 should begin sometime this summer.
Meanwhile, board Vice Chair David MacKinnon said the board should be making plans to formally thank MPPs Todd Smith and Daryl Kramp for their work in not only coming up with a $4.3 million grant to pay for the ICU expansion but also their efforts to increase QHC’s annual base funding by around 6%.
