The name of the 20-year-old killed in Prince Edward County Monday has been released.
Around 7 p.m., Prince Edward OPP, fire crews and EMS responded to the Dunes Beach at Sandbanks.
A group of friends were swimming and one person never surfaced.
Twenty-year-old Shivam Arora of Belleville was pronounced dead.
The coroner’s office has been called in with the assistance of Prince Edward OPP.
Foul play is not suspected.
