A local construction company will likely build a two-classroom addition, make renovations to the interior of Centre Hastings Secondary School and demolish Madoc Public School.
Monday night the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board’s Committee of the Whole approved the bid of just over $2.7 million from Peak Engineering and Construction Ltd.
That decision needs final approval at next week’s meeting of the school board.
The work is being done to accommodate students from Madoc Public School.
