The weather was frigid and the slopes were icy but did not prevent two Batawa ski racing teams from competing in their first Giant Slalom races of the season.

Reena Liu and Batawa teammate Chloe O’Boyle Kelly finished one-two in the Under 19 division. Annissa Bray was fifth while Emma Sabine-Craig and Hannah O’Boyle Kelly also finished in the top 10.
Isaac Hollinger led the Batawa boys with a third place finish. Jaxon Starbuck was fifth.
In the Under 16 division Anna Schmoll was the top Batawa girl with a ninth place finish.
Haleigh MacPherson, Lily Peters, Molly Henderson and Holly Liu had great runs. Boys racers were Jonah Hope, Evander Bentley and Ben Onesi.
