Harwood Estate Vineyards is continuing to grow its operation in Prince Edward County.
Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis announced on Friday the facility is looking to establish rental accommodations nestled within their vineyard thanks to a $100,000 Fed Dev Ontario grant.
Harwood is planning on building one cabin this year with expansion to feature five cabins which would allow tourists to stay on-site, maximizing culinary and ecotourism experiences while allowing more visitors to visit the region year round.
The investment was made through the Canadian Experiences Fund which supports the creation, improvement or enhancement of tourism products, facilities and experiences.
