A big crowd is expected tonight (Thursday) in Brighton as the mayor and council host a public meeting to provide information and hear comments about high water levels in Lake Ontario and damaging flooding.
Mayor Brian Ostrander says the meeting will feature expert guest speakers including Sarah Delicate of United Shoreline Ontario, engineer Bernie Gigas, Brighton Fire Chief Rick Caddick and Janet Noyes of Lower Trent Conservation.
They will discuss the very serious flooding in the springs of last year and 2017 and what could be even more serious damage coming this spring.
The High Water Lake Ontario Flood Talk runs from 6 until 8:30 p.m. at the Fellowship Christian Reformed Church on Main Street in the west end of Brighton.
