The province is investing up to $6.9 million for infrastructure projects in the Hastings-Lennox and Addington riding.
On Friday, MPP Daryl Kramp released how each municipality would share the funding. SEE THE BELOW BREAKDOWN
(NOTE: Belleville is in both the Bay of Quinte riding and H-L&A riding. The amount allocated is for the municipality, and not the portion of the riding in H-L&A or Bay of Quinte. The same applies to the $50,000 for Hastings County) CLICK HERE for Bay of Quinte’s breakdown
The money is allocated to municipalities with populations under 100,000, and all rural and northern communities. Municipalities can also accumulate their funding over five year periods to address larger projects. It comes from the $200 million OCIF, which supports all 424 municipalities in Ontario.
MPP Kramp says he welcomes the funding that will go to support the 21 municipalities in H-L&A and the two counties as well. He says it will attract growth, create jobs, and investment in the riding and across the province.
Warden of Hastings County Rick Phillips says the OCIF funding will contribute to many services for the entire area.
