A high wind event with winds peaking from 70 – 100 km/h, along with rain and heavy snow, blew west to east across most of Ontario, knocking out power for thousands.

Hydro One has restored approximately 169,500 customers, with 215,600 customers affected across the province since the start of the event.
At this time there are approximately 46,000 customers without power across Hydro One’s distribution system.
Approximately 32,900 Hydro One customers in the East region remain without power at this time.
