Belleville police are investigating a suspicious fire and break-in at a residential property in the area of Dundas East and Haig Road late yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Firefighters responded to a fully engulfed garage fire around 5:30. The garage and contents were destroyed.
Further investigation found that a nearby house had been broken into and a flammable liquid had been poured in various spots inside.
No one was injured.
An investigation is continuing and Belleville police are asking people with information to contact them or Quinte Crime Stoppers.
