Aircraft from 8 Wing Trenton are continuing to help in the search for a missing plane today.
The search is into its third day after the Beechcraft Bonanza was reported missing on Monday, when it went off the radar in the Val-d’Or Region of Quebec.
The pilot, who was the only person reported to be on board, was flying from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Danbury, Connecticut and had turned north to avoid a thunderstorm.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre says two CC-130 Hercules, a CP-140 Aurora and three Griffon helicopters are all involved in the search today, along with a Canadian Coastguard helicopter, a Quebec police chopper and six aircraft from Quebec’s volunteer search and rescue organization.
