You can tell it’s really summer when you have a chance to make ice cream, using an old-fashioned churn.
It’s happening Wednesday at Glanmore National Historical Site in Belleville, as the Summer Fun activities begin.
The site also has a special day allowing members of the public to play old-fashioned games, such as croquet, barrel-hoops and stilt-walking.
That happens August 7.
Visitors to the historic house can also take part in an Artifact Scavenger Hunt.
They get a worksheet that allows children and adults to search room displays for specific historic objects.
