Theft of tools
Belleville, Ontario – On July 11, 2019 at 9:50 a.m., police attended to a theft complaint in the east end of the city. A caller reported to police that tools, including two power saws and a jig-saw were stolen during the night. The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone who may have knowledge of this to contact investigating officer Cst. Retail theft
Belleville, Ontario – On July 11, 2019 at 2:29 p.m., police responded to a Bell Blvd business for a reported theft of PS4 controllers. An investigation revealed an unknown male stole the items at 1:41 p.m. this same date. Police have video surveillance to work with and are continuing the investigation. Break, enter and theft
Belleville, Ontario – On July 11, 2019 at 2:54 p.m., police responded to a residence in the east end of the city for a reported break and enter. An investigation revealed unknown person(s) entered the residence of the complainant between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and stole a wallet containing identification and other documents. The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information to contact investigating officer Cst. Other disturbances
Belleville, Ontario – Of the many calls for service throughout the previous 24-hour period, police arrested a 39-year-old Picton woman who appeared to be intoxicated on alcohol and drugs outside a west end home. She was placed into custody for breaching the peace.
At 2:01 a.m., police responded to a restaurant on North Font Street for a report of a man acting strangely. An investigation revealed that a 15-year-old male was in possession of marijuana. Being that he was not 19 years of age, he was issued a provincial offence notice, and the cannabis was seized for destruction.
At 4:20 a.m., police were called to a business on Dundas Street West for a report of a male acting suspiciously. Police contacted EMS to attend as it appeared the male was in some sort of distress, possibly due to unknown substances. He was apprehended for his own protection and transported to Belleville Hospital for immediate care.
Other calls included bail violation investigations, suspicious persons, unwanted persons, traffic complaints, harassment calls, and family disputes, some of which are still being investigated at the time of this media release.
