Two Quinte area sailors have earned top five finishes at this weekend’s National Capital Cup Regatta in Ottawa.
Nicole Flynn of Madoc and Kai Freeland of Belleville are members of the Quinte SailAbility team.
They used borrowed boats from the host Nepean Yacht Club to race in the Ottawa River on Saturday and Sunday.
Freeland finished third while Flynn was fifth in their respective divisions.
This was their first competitive event since the Quinte SailAbility program merged with the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club.
