If you’re looking to get out and Celebrate Canada’s 152nd birthday you won’t have trouble finding a spot close by.
Municipalities across the Quinte Region are gearing up for the country-wide celebration with activities, entertainment and of course, fireworks.
Here’s a list of what’s happening around the region featuring links to more information:
Belleville
West Zwick’s Park will host Canada Day festivities from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. featuring musical and artistic acts, cake, kids’ activities and of course fireworks.
Quinte West’s celebrations will run throughout the day, starting bright and early at 7:00 a.m. with the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast and continuing with similar entertainment, activities and vendor village, leading up to fireworks at 10:00 p.m.
The Monday celebrations will run separately from Operation Stand Proud and also include a car show, Canada Day Parade and more.
In The County, Canada Day will be marked with street parties and fireworks in Picton and Wellington, with other events being held at various wineries and tourist hot spots, while in Brighton there will also be a pancake breakfast, street festival, fireworks and more.
Brighton’s Canada Day festivities also kick off with a pancake breakfast, along with a full slate of entertainment and activities at King Edward Park.Here’s the full run down for what’s happening in Brighton.
Centre Hastings Quinte Broadcasting’s own Freddy Vette and his Rhinestone Plowboys highlight the entertainment for Canada Day in Centre Hastings, holding a prime time spot with a day full of events and activities at Centre Hastings Park.
Marmora and Lake
A parade opens the celebrations in Marmora and Lake with a full slate of events at Memorial Park.

Tweed Tweed’s celebrations also begin with a parade, followed by plenty of games and activities for kids and families.

Trent Hills
There are three separate celebrations in Trent Hills including in Campbellford, Warkworth and Hastings.
