For the 7th time in the last 10 years the Prince Edward Collegiate Panthers have won the Bay of Quinte High School baseball championship.
The Panthers exploded for 8 runs in the 6th inning to blow open a tight game and defeat the Eastside Ravens 12-2 in the final. Ben Wells had multiple hits and gets the pitching win.
In the semi finals the Panthers defeated the Centre Hastings Centurions 3-1. Will Ronan pitched the win with Brodie Byford getting the save while driving in two runs.
In the other semi final Eastside downed the defending champion St. Theresa Titans 7-5. Jordan McMullen gets the win with Tyson Spence closing it out for the save.
