A GPS or global positioning system helped Belleville police recover a stolen vehicle and led to drug charges yesterday (Tuesday).
City police received a call late in the afternoon from a national rental car company who’s vehicle had gone missing from Toronto.
It’s GPS located it in east end Belleville. The rental company remotely disabled the vehicle and when Belleville officers found it they arrested two young men and found some fentanyl, cocaine and a large quantity of cash.
The men charged were 22 year-old Jovane Martin and 24 year-old Benjamin Griffith, both from Brampton.
Both are scheduled to appear for bail hearings today.
