Organizers say work on Belleville’s fully accessible Field of Ability at the Parkdale Park could begin soon.
Field of Ability lead Lisa Chesher tells Quinte News a strong push in the fundraising campaign has the group edging closer towards its $700,000 goal.
Chesher says they are waiting to hear about two other potential grants that could put them over the top.
Chesher adds that the city approval means work could begin soon and possibly be finished by the end of the summer.
Organizers are also thanking the community for its overwhelming support of the project, especially over the past couple of years.
