If you’re interested in the future of downtown Belleville, you might want to drop by an open house tomorrow afternoon or evening (Thursday).
City staff will be displaying preliminary drawings and outlining ideas for the so called “downtown commons” area, the part of the downtown near city hall, Market Square, and along the Moira river.
The city owns a fair chunk of property near city hall, now that it has purchased the riverfront parking lot across from city hall and the former Cabaret adult entertainment club next to it.
The open house runs from 4 o’clock until 7 o’clock on the third floor of the Belleville Public Library.
