Fire caused significant damage to a house in east end Belleville last (Saturday) night.
Firefighters were called to 227 Bleecker Avenue, at Queen Street, around 6:30 after fire started in an addition at the back of the two-storey brick century home.

The addition housed a living or family room.
Most of the fire damage was contained to the addition however there was a lot of smoke and water damage in the rest of the house.
Three people were home at the time of the fire. Paramedics took one person to Belleville General Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The cause remains under investigation.
