The organizers of the CFB Trenton Pond Hockey Gala are beaming after another successful weekend.
Captain Jeff Moorhouse says they saw their best auction ever, to go along with a great gala crowd and 26 teams for the hockey tourney.
The shinny on Saturday and Sunday brought in 26 teams from around the area, to play on the numerous ponds around the Batawa Community Centre.
Moorhouse says although they are still counting the final dollars, they will blow well past $60,000.
About $14,000 came in from the auction Friday evening at the gala.
QW Councillor Karen Sharpe was the winner of the 50/50 at the gala and donated more than $700 back to the cause.
The money will be split between Wounded Warriors Canada and the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
