It was slightly colder, wetter, and snowier last month than the usual January in the Quinte region.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton the average high temperature last month was -3 and the average low was -14 degrees celsius.
Usually the average high for January is -2 and the average low -12.
Meanwhile, 53.3 centimetres of snow fell last month, more than the normal 45 cm.
There was also a lot of rain, totalling just over 43 millimetres. The usual amount is 34 mm in a January in this area.
