A tractor trailer crash led to a closure of the westbound 401 in Quinte West Friday morning.
Firefighters from Quinte West Station #4 responded to the accident on the highway between Wallbridge Loyalist and Glen Miller Roads around 6:20 a.m., and discovered that the tractor trailer carrying fresh produce had flipped onto its side.
Fuel was also leaking from the truck, according to Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan.
Chief Whelan said the highway was closed until about 8:00 a.m, when crews were able to move the truck to open one lane.
No injuries were reported.
