A Belleville woman has been charged after someone was accused of sabotaging an effort to raise funds for a sick child.
Belleville police say 33-year-old Lisa Bark was arrested Tuesday night after someone posted comments on social media and contacted media outlets saying that the parents of the child were trying to raise money fraudulently.
Police say the parents’ fundraising efforts were not fake.
Bark was charged with criminal harassment and appears in court next month.
