Golfers headed out onto the links at Trillium Woods Tuesday facing not only the golfing challenge but also the challenge of raising money for charity.
The annual Mayors’ Charity Golf Challenge bought out golfers from across the Quinte area to support the charity, Community Living Belleville and Area.
Executive director Christine Semark says Community Living supports 150 children, youth and adults with disabilities and the money raised at the golf challenge goes to transportation.

The Warden of Hastings County Rodney Cooney says he was depending on his team to win the day since he only played golf occasionally.
Last year the charity golf challenge raised about $19,000 for Community Living.
Semark says the accessible van helps people with complex needs since they volunteer and go to school, and go shopping. Transportation is a challenge for them, she said.
Community Living started in Plainfield 66 years ago but now has 20 locations throughout the area, with a head office on Millennium Parkway.
