Many thousands of Quinte area residents lost power Wednesday, following extremely heavy winds.
In some areas, it got to 120 km/h, shutting off the lights for homes and businesses.
As of 4:45 a.m., many thousands are still in the dark, with dozens of different outages being reported.
Hydro One and Veridian outage maps can be seen by clicking on the respective name.
A man was hit by a falling tree branch at Bridge Street and Foster Avenue Wednesday afternoon, while a downed tree also caused a road closure on Bridge Street, between Bleecker and Herchimer.
Meanwhile the wind was especially hard on the south shores of Prince Edward County.

There were also reports of a traffic hazard on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road at Moira Street, where canoes blew off a vehicle and blocked the roadway.

City police attended to a total of 11 dangerous conditions calls throughout the day on April 4 from the weather and high winds. At 1:50 p.m., police responded to wires down along Bleecker Avenue.
A short time later at 1:54 p.m. police responded to a large tree falling down on Victoria Avenue taking hydro wires down with it.
Reported at 1:56 p.m. was a call about a traffic lighting house which was down on Sidney Street. Police attended along with public works crews for repairs.
At 2:27 p.m., police responded to the Dufferin Avenue area where a large tree fell taking hydro wires down with it.
At 2:29 p.m. a report was received of a large tree falling in the Bridge Street East area causing wires to spark.
Shortly after this at 2:37 p.m. a pedestrian was struck by a falling tree in the Bridge Street East area. The pedestrian was taken to Belleville Hospital by EMS. There was no word on the extent of injuries to the person.
Lastly, at 3:19 p.m., police responded to an entrance near Chapters at the Quinte Mall where a traffic light was reported to have flown off its wire and crashed to the ground. There were no reports of injury or other damage at this location. Crews were on scene quickly to secure the area and any hazardous conditions as a result.
