Firefighters and paramedics rescued two men who had broken through the ice of Rice Lake near Roseneath Friday night.
According to a story in Today’s Northumberland, a man on shore heard cries for help around 9:30 p.m.
Two men, who had been out ice fishing, were in the water.
Alnwick/Haldimand firefighters and Northumberland County Paramedics responded, with firefighters using water rescue gear and inflatable boats pulling the men from the water and back to shore.
They were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
