The Southeast Local Health Integration Network Board of Directors is expected to approve renovations to ensure Belleville’s satellite dialysis clinic is useful for years to come.
At its meeting today (Monday), the LHIN board will see a staff recommendation asking for approval of an application to the Ministry of Health to provide 90% of the cost of a $2.4 million renovation at the Belleville location on College Street East.
The Kingston Health Sciences Centre, which runs the clinic, would provide 10% of the money.
The Belleville clinic, which serves 90 patients, is 20 years old and outdated and the renovations would bring the facility up to standard and allow for expansion in the future.
