The Wellington Dukes got goals from 5 different players in the first period and that was more than enough to beat the Aurora Tigers 5-1.
Hunter Gunski and Mitchell Mendonca scored a goal and assist each while Connor Ryckman turned away 32 shots. Dukes Coach and General Manager Marty Abrams liked the way his team bounced back from Friday’s loss in Markham.
The Dukes were 6 for 6 on the penalty kill.
Rory Milne, Kyle Prendel and Justin Bean also scored for the Dukes.
Wellington is in Trenton Friday night.
