What seems like a targeted traffic stop has led to the seizure of a number of drugs and cash and left a group of six people facing charges.
Members of the Belleville Police Drug and Emergency Response Units stopped a car in the downtown yesterday afternoon, then executed a search warrant on a home in the city’s east end, where they found cocaine, marijuana, digital scales and cash.
The following suspects have all been charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of the proceeds of crime:
19 year-old Jennifer Wilson (Belleville)
44 year-old Lori Allan (Belleville)
20 year-old Shirmia Crosbie (Belleville)
22 year-old Romaro Cameron (Ajax)
19 year-old Ishmail Baker (Oshawa)
19 year-old Jaedyn Mills (Oshawa)
Cameron and Baker are also charged with possession of marijuana.
All of the suspects, except for Jennifer Wilson, were held for bail hearings today.
Wilson was released on a promise to appear, with a court date in August.
