The Hastings and Price Edward Board of Health has settled contracts with its employees.
Medical officer of health Dr. Richard Schabas told the board of health today that the health unit and its 100 employees have reached three-year agreements.
They cover members of the Canadian Union of Public employees and members of the Ontario Nurses Association.
The contracts gives the staff a 1.75% pay increase in the first year, 1.25% in the second and 1% in the third.
The contracts cover the years 2015 to end of 2017.
Schabas says the settlements give the health unit security in financial planning for the next few years.
Meanwhile, Schabas also announced to the board he will be retiring at the end of 2016.
